A dark tobacco-colored dial with vintage Radium Superluminova, combined with a sparkling gold case, creates a truly special edition of Radium's most renowned and classic model. But don’t be fooled—this watch is also capable of diving to depths of up to 200 meters.

A 24-carat gold-plated Original Radium is a prime example of how a small local garage operation has evolved into a genuine business. As Radium Instruments Norway grows, the demand for a wider range of products increases. Offering a gold watch is a natural step, given our focus and audience, as the classic "gold watch" often evokes family heirlooms and strong family traditions.

Gold-plated watches offer an excellent alternative to the significantly more expensive solid gold-cased watches and have historically been favored by renowned brands such as Omega, Breitling, and Rolex.

The 24-carat gold-plated watch has a hardness of approximately 180 HV on the Vickers hardness scale. By comparison, titanium has a hardness of about 115 HV on the same scale.

The inside of the watch is made of acid-resistant steel, identical to our traditional 38 mm case with short lugs. All the craftsmanship, from milling and polishing to gold plating and assembly, is carried out in Oslo.

The watch is powered by a Swiss SW200 movement and features an original tobacco-colored dial, gold-plated hands and crown, and sapphire glass. It has been pressure-tested to 200 meters.

Premium Supplier In the development of the Radium gold watch, we have collaborated with the best in the industry. The gold plating of the case is performed by Centrum Fornikling, a renowned family business established in Oslo as early as 1932, which has been run continuously by the same family since 1957. Among their esteemed clientele is the Norwegian royal family. A fun fact—Centrum Fornikling also performed the nickel plating on the full-scale version of Il Tempo Gigante.

Why choose gold? Gold watches possess a timeless and luxurious appearance that elevates any outfit and occasion. Furthermore, gold is corrosion-resistant, meaning the watch will maintain its appearance for a long time with proper care. If you intend to pass the watch down through generations, gold enhances its significance and value, particularly given the historical connections to the family-owned Centrum Fornikling and entirely Norwegian production.
